Today I enjoyed a lovely outing with my Mom, aunt, & cousin. We had chai lattes and talked about girl stuff. So fun, & I can’t wait to do it again!
I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve posted on here! It’s been a crazy fast two months! We got married, went on our honeymoon, moved, & started our lives as newlyweds. It’s been so wonderful!
I thought I’d share some beautiful pictures from our wedding day. I’m so happy with how they turned out!
Thanks so much to Kyle Weaver Photography!
(Be on the lookout for some wedding posts in the near future!)
So this wedding process has been crazy! With less than two months to go, I couldn’t be more excited! Planning has taken up most of my free time (hence the lack of posts), but I think it will be worth it when our day finally gets here.
One area of the planning process is flowers. As beautiful as they are, they are also extremely expensive! One of our quotes neared $2,500!! Outrageous! I only have three bridesmaids and groomsman. How can it be that expensive!??
Luckily, I’ve found an alternative that is both beautiful and cost effective. Where I live we have a lot of Amish and Minnonite families. One Minnonite family is known for providing beautiful flowers for weddings throughout the year. The woman who does the flowers has been beyond wonderful! She knows what flower works with others, is so flexible, & most importantly affordable!
Her total for our wedding flowers is $520! Granted, we would have to attach any ribbon to bouquets (she has to do two other weddings our wedding weekend, we will finish off the bouquets and such). Still, I was just shocked at the wonderful help and price!
My advice for wedding flowers is to try to find local or whole sale locations. You will save hundreds. Also, don’t be afraid to put the arrangements together yourself. There are numerous YouTube videos that can provide guidelines. Put that money towards something else for the wedding! 😉
Happy Monday, everyone!
Over the weekend I took my usual trip to Marshalls. I almost left with a new Kate Spade bag, but it was white and sadly had a few marks on it. I did, however, leave with some Stila makeup that I’ve been eyeing ever since I started watching YouTube makeup videos. It was beautifully packaged in a gold, metallic box that caught my eye instantly. Inside it had an eyeliner, eyeshadow, lip gloss, liquid luminizer, and a gold bracelet from Baublebar. For $18 I thought it was a steal! I took some swatches & the payoff seems great! The colors are beautiful. This find was awesome!

The weekend is finally here, & I couldn’t be happier! Over the past week I have been slowly moving into my apartment. Let me tell you, I do not plan on moving again anytime soon. That’s how fun it was packing and unpacking. lol. But I couldn’t be happier with my beautiful place, & I will have some pictures & styling tips coming in the near future. Until then, I am without internet or television. I thought I could live without that for a little bit, but it’s getting tiresome. Especially with college work being due each week. This weekend I’m going to remedy that problem, & I’ll be back to blogging in no time!
Now, when the weekend comes around, I love relaxing & enjoying girlie things! This could include anything from candles, to a favorite movie, to staying in my pajamas the whole time. I recommend anything that makes you feel glamorous & fabulous!

Happy Monday, everyone!
So I had my first experience buying a couch. Let me just say, there is so much that I didn’t realize went into making this decision! Color, firmness, style, stain resistance. Picking a couch that would last me a while was a bigger struggle than I thought it would be (yes, first world problems). I finally decided on this teal colored couch by Ashley Furniture. My grandma was nice enough to buy my couch for me. Thank you, Maw Maw!!!! 🙂
Afterwards, we made a quick stop at Target. I had to try on this cute burgundy hat, such a great addition for your fall wardrobe. Sadly, I just can’t seem to pull off the hat look. But if you can pull off hats, be sure to check out Target. They have a lot of great floppy, fall hats!
The outfit above was what I wore on Saturday. I think it’s really cute! Kinda throw-backish, which is exactly what my boyfriend said when I showed him. Who knew he was so fashionable?? 😛
Happy Monday, everyone!
This weekend was really busy for me. Saturday included getting up early in the morning to go to yard sales. I didn’t get anything major, but afterwards we had delicious breakfast at a little restaurant called Zee Best Café. I got French toast with sausage links. It was so good!! My mom got biscuits & gravy, which I took a taste of (okay, more like I ate a biscuit).
On Sunday I went to a salvage flea market. There were so many cute refurbished & upcycled items! I ended up buying a salvaged dessert buffet table from the 50’s to go under my TV in my living room. I also got a bar cart, which is so beautiful! I am waiting to give a full view of these items until I move into my apartment. That’s a future post I can’t wait to do! Afterwards we got cupcakes from a pumpkin farm, which were so yummy!
