Banana Bread Recipe!

Here is an easy & delicious banana bread recipe! Enjoy!

1. Cream together 8 tablespoons of butter & 1 cup sugar.

2. Stir in 2 beaten eggs & 3 mashed bananas

3. Slowly mix in 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking soda, and 1 & 1/4 cups all-purpose flour.

4. Pour in greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes

5. Optional, but totally delicious: Mix together powdered sugar & milk until you get the consistency of a very runny glaze. Add on top of your banana bread. This will melt down the sides and add a thin layer of sweet glaze to top your banana bread!

The Bake Shoppe in Rehoboth Beach, DE!

I have a big sweet tooth. Particularly for cake. Specifically chocolate cake. So many of my vacations involve trying delicious desserts at new places. A few weeks back, I was lucky enough to visit Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. This is an adorable little town! While exploring, I found a cute bake shop, called nothing other than “The Bake Shoppe.”

We tried a few different things. A cannoli, cheesecake, sugar cookies, & tea cookies. My dad said the cannoli was really good, but my favorite was the cheesecake!

This was so good! You could tell it was made fresh, & the crust was perfect!

All the desserts looked delicious! Also, the portions were big for the prices. Some of the cinnamon rolls were as big as my head!

On future trips, I will definitely be going back to The Bake Shoppe!

Dessert Party Ideas!

I think it would be so fun to throw a party for a bunch of friends. Something simple, yet stylish. & of course it has to have good food. I think that a dessert party is such a cute idea! Nearly everyone likes dessert of some kind, & even if they don’t, they can still enjoy the beautiful spread you prepare.

Bar cart makeover DIY: Surprise your guests with a #HomeGoodsHappy dessert cart! Cake stands, colorful straws and napkins make for a fun and festive update. For more entertaining inspiration, click through to our Design Happy blog.

I’m determined that I will have a bar cart in my house. They are so retro, yet still modern. Plus they can be used for more than just alcohol. Display your desserts using colorful napkins, tiers, flowers, & fashionable plates.

Donuts and milk

For a specific dessert idea, I think milk & donuts is so adorable! You can make or buy pretty donuts, then set them on top of small glasses of milk. A straw can keep the donuts in place until eaten!

For some added party décor, fill clear balloons with confetti or glitter (or both), and tie with colorful string. Fabulous!
