I know it’s late, but I couldn’t resist doing a quick post about Lady Gaga’s Oscars outfit!
As most of you know, Lady Gaga won Best Song for the movie A Star Is Born at the 2019 Oscars. I’m very glad she won, she deserved it!
I loved how Gaga paid tribute to the past in her outfits that night. The beautiful canary yellow diamond necklace was the same diamond worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast At Tiffany’s publicity photos. As soon as I saw the necklace, I knew! It’s breathtaking, and gives perfect old Hollywood vibes.
I love how Lady Gaga has grown with her career. While I like her outlandish outfits, it’s nice to see her sophistication evolve, while still keeping her uniqueness.
Please see A Star Is Born if you haven’t already! It’s a beautiful love story, and both Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper give amazing performances!
Happy Tuesday, everyone! Now that I have my own apartment, & more specifically my own kitchen, I am determined to start getting creative in the food department. I’ve been experimental in the dessert areas of baking, but I’ve always stuck to my tried & true recipes I know from growing up. Pork chops, tacos, roast, meat loaf, & pasta, to name a few. While this is certainly nothing to be ashamed of, I want to branch out & discover new foods. I also want to get more invested in my baking. I have a kitchen aid mixer that has hardly been touched, so making cookies from scratch is on the top of my list!
Now, don’t get me wrong. I know I won’t become a chef overnight. It takes practice, skill, & trial and error. I’ve had my fair share of recipes that flopped (some literally), but I’ve also had some delicious recipes that I’m proud of. Pinterest has been an amazing inspiration, but I haven’t had the determination to actually make what I’m pinning. So I’m going to go through my cooking related boards & find things to make. I guess this is a resolution. Try my hand at a few recipes & hope for the best!
Comment below if you have any funny cooking/baking stories, or if you are going to start trying new recipes!
Audrey Hepburn is the epitome of grace, elegance, and classic fashion. While I know I can’t own Givenchy, her go-to designer for outfit perfection, there are still great replicas that you can purchase to possess some of Audrey’s je ne sais quoi!

Hair accessories are nothing new, but I feel like headbands are ones that make a comeback every few years. Typically thought of as a preppy accessory, headbands offer a little bit of glam while still having a sophisticated feel. The most recent headband queen I can think of is Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl. She took headbands to the next level. I mean, she looked on point every time she donned a headband. This accessory totally completed nearly every outfit she wore, & she didn’t look like a little girl wearing them.
If you decide to try this trend, do it! My advice is to experiment. Look at the width of the band, color, & added details. Thicker bands will be much bolder, and thinner bands tend to look a little more elegant. While added details can look fun, don’t go overboard. Remember, you want sophistication!
