Summer Movie List!

Summer is here, & many of us have a little more free time on our hands. Here is my list of some great summer movies! So sit back, grab some popcorn, & enjoy! 🙂

1. Dirty Dancing

Favorite Line:

I love this part. Sometimes I quote it and people have no idea what I'm talking about. It just gets their hopes up that there is a watermelon around.

4. 500 Days of Summer

An offbeat romantic comedy about a woman who doesn’t believe true love exists, and the young man who falls for her.

Favorite Line:

This is something I would say, I always love what nobody else does.

5. Almost Famous

A high-school boy is given the chance to write a story for Rolling Stone Magazine about an up-and-coming rock band as he accompanies it on their concert tour.

6. The Breakfast Club

Five high school students, all different stereotypes, meet in detention, where they pour their hearts out to each other, and discover how they have a lot more in common than they thought.

7. The Seven Year Itch

When his family goes away for the summer, a so far faithful husband is tempted by a beautiful neighbor.

8. Jaws

When a gigantic great white shark begins to menace the small island community of Amity, a police chief, a marine scientist, and grizzled fisherman set out to stop it.

One of my favorite movies, could watch this many times over and over again.

Favorite Line:

9. The Parent Trap

Identical twins, separated at birth and each raised by one of their biological parents, discover each other for the first time at summer camp and make a plan to bring their wayward parents back together.

The Parent Trap (1998) Love this movie! Watched it all the time when I was little! :)

Favorite Line:

Learn from this men everywhere, when a woman walks out that door, she is seeing if she is important enough to you that you come after her, even when she is the one who left. If you don't come after her, then she knows what she really is to you.

10. Rear Window

A wheelchair bound photographer spies on his neighbors from his apartment window and becomes convinced one of them has committed murder.

  1. Love all of these movies!!! They were showing Beaches on television last week and of course I cried!!! No matter how many times I watch that movie I cry to the point where my eyes are puffy and I end up spending the rest of the day at home because I look like I’m having issues of my own lol.
