I recently had a job interview, and I have a few more to come! Here are some tips on what to wear to a job interview. Enjoy!

1. Keep it simple.

Pair a light grey, beige or white dress with a black blazer for a look that is sophisticated and authoritative. Pair with a statement necklace or shoes for a professional pop.Standard interview outfit. Conservative, fitting, and professional. Don't be afraid to add some color, but take it easy on make-up, jewelry, and other accessories.

As cute as that dress you have with the six different colors is, it is always best to keep your outfit simple for a job interview. Don’t go overboard with color. If you must add color, make it one focal point of your outfit, such as your purse or shoes.

2. Blazers are a must.

I can have a great looking outfit for an interview. But the instant I add a blazer, the look is ten times more professional! Black, navy, tan, and white are great neutrals that go with anything.

3. Keep your makeup basic.

Mascara, brows, pink lipstick

Don’t do anything too drastic in the makeup department. I think it is best to go as natural as possible. A soft lipย color and light eye makeup makes you more approachable.

4. Think about your hair.

A low ponytail is an easy look if you don’t want to fuss with your hair. If you are more adventurous, a simple bun at the back of your head (not too high) looks very professional. If you wear your hair down, be sure it’s out of your face, and looks sleek.

5. Smile!

A smile goes a long way with any look. Don’t be afraid to smile! The interviewer is just trying to get to know you. Don’t stress!
